Dr. Monica Baradi
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Monica Baradi grew up in Edmonton, Alberta where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Alberta. She then moved down to the beautiful (and significantly warmer) Pacific Northwest and obtained her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Oregon.
Dr. Baradi is very passionate about outreach and volunteerism. During her time as a student, she served as the President of AMIGOS Eye Care, which is the Pacific University chapter of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Through this non-profit organization, she travelled to Senegal, Africa and rural Guatemala to participate in service trips and provide care to people in underserved communities. Her interest in global health has only continued to grow since her time as a student, and she is excited for future travels and outreach work in new countries throughout her life. In her final year of training, Dr. Baradi worked in various optometric settings, which provided her with clinical experience in specialties such as ocular disease, binocular vision, geriatrics and refractive and cataract surgery.
Outside of optometry, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking in the mountains and spending time with her family and friends.
