Dr. Parm Sandhu
Dr. Sandhu was raised in Williams Lake, BC. He later moved to Vancouver to attend UBC where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1989. He received his Doctor of Optometry in 1994, from New England College of Optometry in Boston where he was also a member of the school’s honour society Beta Sigma Kappa. Dr. Sandhu has been practicing optometry in BC since, and in 2001 opened up his first EyeMax EyeCare clinic in Vancouver’s downtown core.
Over the last six years he has expanded his practice to include a second location in Abbotsford.
Dr. Sandhu is now scheduled to work at the downtown location most Wednesdays.
Dr. Petar Prpic
Downtown Operational Manager/Optometrist
Dr. Prpic was born and raised in Richmond, BC. He attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009. He proceeded to Boston to attend the New England College of Optometry where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honour Society for all four years of attendance. His clinical externship experience includes working at a Veterans Administration Hospital and Neighbourhood Health Centre in Massachusetts, an Indian Health Services Centre in Alaska, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York and family practices in Connecticut.
Dr. Liang completed her Bachelor’s education at McGill University. She graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University with a dual degree of OD MPH. During school, Dr. Liang served as the local liaison as well as the national liaison to the American Public Health Association. She was the president of the Salus Canadian Optometric Association and the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Through her rotations, Dr. Liang was able to gain different perspectives on public health issues at rotation sites such as the Indian Health Service hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Through the dual degree program at PCO, she also completed her last rotation at the Mzuzu Central Hospital in Malawi.
